Beyond Compliance: Using the New RSHE Guidance to Transform PSHE

11:55 - 12:35

What if the new RSHE guidance isn’t a checklist to get through, but a chance to re-shape PSHE into the preventative, empowering curriculum young people urgently need?

In this session, we will shift the conversation from ‘meeting the requirements’ to ‘meeting pupils where they are’. Using real insights from thousands of schools, we will explore how PSHE can build confidence, capability and resilience before issues escalate and how the new guidance provides the perfect opportunity to reset curriculum purpose and practice.

We will share:

  • practical approaches to strengthening preventative PSHE,
  • strategies for embedding safeguarding and wellbeing into everyday curriculum experiences,
  • examples of what effective PSHE looks like in classrooms today, and
  • ways to use the new guidance as a springboard for meaningful change rather than compliance-driven stress.
