Michelle Bromhead

National School Fundraising Manager at Comic Relief, ex-teacher, family support worker and school curriculum designer

Michelle is a literacy specialist who has worked in a variety of education settings including SEN provision and a range of state primary schools. As an ex primary school teacher of 12 years, Michelle has undertaken the roles of curriculum design lead, assistant headteacher, PSHE lead and family support worker. Michelle has also led a mentorship programme for newly qualified teachers in the South West of England, as well as mentoring Exeter University PGCE students. With a strong grounding in the world of education, Michelle is now responsible for delivering the national school campaigns for Comic Relief, including their upcoming Red Nose Day on Friday 18th March 2022. Comic Relief is a major charity based in the UK, with a vision of a just world, free from poverty. Their education offering includes a suite of inclusive curriculum resources, based on current issues affecting children and young people created in collaboration with education experts and partners including Twinkl; covering topics such as mental health, homelessness and gender equality.
