Kim Pigram joined Ofsted as HMI in January 2016 and became SHMI in 2019. She has current responsibility in the East of England (EoE) for the inspections of alternative provisions, pupil referral units, and specialist provisions. She also oversees complaints about schools, and oversees the work in the EoE for Local Area SEND inspections, work with multi-academy trusts (MATs), Diocese and local authorities. Her previous roles as SHMI have included the inspection scheduling and the inspection of independent schools.
