Ian Hartwright

Ian Hartwright is Head of Policy (Professional) at NAHT, where he leads NAHT’s policy work on pay, inspection, funding, recruitment and retention, and workload and well-being. He has extensive experience in education as a former secondary school teacher and curriculum lead; a former Ofsted senior manager where he led the school inspection policy team; and has led education at a grade 1 listed historic visitor attraction where he worked on European and Transatlantic projects. Ian is a committed trade unionist and previously sat as an elected member on the FDA National Executive.
